Into the Okavango

There are few truly wild places left in this world, but the Okavango Delta in Botswana is one of the last bastions of true wilderness. Every year between June and September, flood waters from the Angolan highlands reach the Delta and transform it into a watery paradise. With the water comes life, as well as the backdrop for one of the most spectacular wildlife photography destinations on earth.

Unlike other popular safari destinations, the Okavango Delta is famous for its remote and private experiences. Fewer vehicles, opportunities for off-roading, and comfortable wildlife all make this a utopia for wildlife photographers. Here you can find all of the big cats, rare antelope species, as well as chances to photograph the endangered African wild dog. With extra patience and determination, the Delta rewards all who are willing to put in the work for fantastic sightings.

As a photography centric trip, we prioritize coming away with incredible shots over the other luxuries that so many tours seem to offer. Our camp is composed of mobile canvas tents, with a more rustic experience than traditional lodges. Safaris are expensive nowadays, and we want to offer an experience that is affordable and accessible. The camp is for sleeping, you should be out there with your camera!

Photography First

So many tours to Africa do a standard morning and afternoon safari. But some of the best sightings happen in the middle of the day, even in "bad" light. We go out for a full day, every day. Your photos come first, and our guides know exactly how to meet the demands of photographers

Rare Animals

The remoteness of the Okavango Delta means that it is a great place to see some of the more rare animals in Africa. On our previous trips we have had fantastic wild dog sightings, leopard action, as well as the critically endangered pangolin.
